Centerpoint Community Services/2-1-1  Relocates Offices:
Easier Public Access, More Room For Client Services
New, Updated Website Launched: www.centerpt.org

(Shreveport, La.)  Centerpoint Community Services/2-1-1, the Information, Referral and Resource agency serving Northwest Louisiana since 1987, recently moved into a larger, more convenient location to better serve their client base.

The new offices for Centerpoint are located in Suite 130, at 2121 Fairfield Avenue, in the Highland area off I-20, near Christus Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. 



Because there was minimal need for reorganization of the new space, Centerpoint’s move was almost seamless over the Memorial Day weekend.  They re-opened May 27th, with no lapse in service. 

Terri Brock, executive director said, “The community support evidenced through so many extraordinary volunteers moved Centerpoint’s offices in a little over six hours – all that was left was the unpacking.  After nearly twenty-one years at the same location, uninterrupted service to people in crisis was a critical consideration for all involved with the relocation.”

The Centerpoint 2-1-1 new offices are within a building that formerly housed a complex of medical practitioners, making it most suitable for the relocation because it was very closely configured to Centerpoint’s need for a waiting room area for the public, along with additional rooms for Centerpoint case workers for all programs.
 
Concurrent with the relocation, Centerpoint 2-1-1 has now released their newly updated website: www.centerpt.org.  Developed by Bandwise, LLC, the website provides a comprehensive list of services and agencies serving the Northwest Louisiana area. 

Clients can “mouse over” the various website buttons for more news and information about Centerpoint 2-1-1, and their partnering agencies.

Centerpoint’s phone numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same, and the public can still dial “2-1-1” from anywhere in the state of Louisiana to connect to a 2-1-1 Call Center Representative.
